I grew up in Chestertown, MD, a tiny town on the Eastern Shore and contrary to the lack of art in the area, from a young age I always enjoyed art and everything involved with it. Fast forward 18 years and I chose to attend Lebanon Valley College to play Division III lacrosse and study Business Administration. I learned after one year of studying business that I needed to be doing something more creative, which led me to switch my major to Digital Communications with a concentration in Design. This turned out to be the best decision I have made to this day.
I graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a degree in Digital Communications. During my time at LVC, I served as the Team Captain of the Men's Lacrosse team, earned a spot on the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll, was a member of the Investment Club and served as the Event Organizer for the annual Crosse Out Cancer game for two years. I also served as the Athletics Communications Assistant for LVC's Marketing Department. In that role, I generated social media content, and designed apparel, schedules, flyers, magnets, and stickers for various LVC teams and organizations.
During the 2017 LVC Inquiry (a celebration of student research, scholarship, and creative achievement), my team won first place for the Digital Communications Department. Our project was an outdoor lifestyle brand called Alpine Supply Company. We designed and sold t-shirts and stickers, and partnered with a manufacturer to design our feature product; a cooler backpack. Our presentation and execution wowed the accomplished professionals in the area that served as judges and we took home first place for our major.
Upon graduation, I accepted an internship with Strategic Partners & Media, a political ad agency in Annapolis, MD. My role as Digital Intern transitioned into the full-time role of Interactive Content Coordinator, where my main responsibilities were graphic design, web design, banner ad creation, social media content creation as well as some video editing.
